A room, built carefully.
The Kola Room is a small, moderated, invitation-audited private membership for African creators, founders and operators.

Nkechi Adebayo
Founder, The Kola Room
I started The Kola Room because I couldn't find the room I wanted to be in. It's a quiet space for African creators, founders and operators who take their work — and each other — seriously.
The room began as an accidental WhatsApp group of 42 people. It grew, slowly, only because we said no more often than we said yes. Today, we're still under 500 members. That is the plan.

Four things we don't compromise on.
Small on purpose
Under 500 members. Ever. When we're full, the door closes until a member leaves.
Read every application
A real human reads every word. No forms disappear into a void.
Quiet by default
No self-promotion, no cold pitching, no threads longer than they need to be.
Africa-first, world-open
Rooted in Lagos, Nairobi and Accra. Members from 34 cities around the world.
